The LSC OIG uses the revised Quality Standards for Federal Offices of Inspector General (Silver Book) that were adopted by the members of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) in 2012.
We use them to guide the conduct of our work in a professional manner. These standards incorporate by reference the existing professional standards for audit, investigation, and inspection and evaluation efforts:

- Government Auditing Standards (The Yellow Book ~ December 2018 Revision)
- Quality Standards for Investigations (2011)
